Terrific! Ted Cruz Lectures Obama During White House Meeting

You gotta love it. The one Republican who has the courage to tell it like it is.

Ted Cruz lectured the president on the negative effects of Obamacare today at the White House. Earlier in the day Senator Cruz joked that Obama might abduct him when he attends the White House meeting.

The Politico reported:

Sen. Ted Cruz confronted President Barack Obama over his health care law during a meeting at the White House Friday attended by dozens of GOP senators.

Cruz told Obama that any deal to reopen the government must also provide relief for those negatively affected by Obamacare. In a long gaggle with reporters, Cruz did not use the word “defund” to describe his aspirations for changes to the health care law, but said he wants “substantial” changes.

“I told the president exactly the same thing I have told you here today: That we need to work together and fund the government and at the same time provide substantial relief to the millions of people who are hurting because of Obamacare, who are losing their jobs, being forced into part-time work and losing their health insurance,” Cruz said. “If the outcome doesn’t impact people who are struggling, who are hurting because of Obamacare, then I don’t think it would be a good outcome.”

Asked to give a breakdown of the exchange between Cruz and Obama, White House press secretary Jay Carney simply responded: “No.”

Who on the left is equal to Cruz? Most on the left claim to be intellectuals, but in reality they are not.

“Only two politicians interest me as a leader these days. Can you guess who they are?”

Saw Sen. Tim Scott R(SC) on the same dais as Cruz. They were on C Span at the ‘Values’ in DC. Looks like he could be a great leader with excellent conservative credentials. IMO

Like I have said, I am not sure if I even want either of them near that snake pit.

The Total Apathy, Ignorance of spite of the very people they are trying to help is enough for me to say it isn't worth the pain.

But they don't think so, which is why Sarah and Ted are better people than I am.

Mike Lee is terrific and substantial. But he lacks charisma and presidential presence. A perfect veep wing man or SC nominee, however.

"for a time such as this"

The character and fortitude that both have displayed makes me think that one of them will take that mantle.

I didn’t expect to find a candidate I liked more and thought might make a better President than Gov Palin.
I’ll wait until he says he’s running, but if he does, I’m all in.

//////////////////////////

They are both the very finest, but if he runs, I’ll wager Governor Sarah Palin will also be all in for him too!

There is a lot of mutual respect, they are cut from the same cloth.

If he runs, I'm betting she supports him big time. If he wins, I'm betting she's his energy secretary. I'm also betting they will discuss strategy and work together come primary time.

If the Dems and RINOs shove amnesty down the country’s throat, it won’t matter if we have elections.
