If I am not mistaken, I believe Mike Lee is in favor in keeping the focus on defunding ObummerCare through spending bills and deal with the debt limit increase later. The concern has been that squishes in the House would try to tie the CR negotiations with the debt limit increase and create a “grand bargain” where the Dhimms would give up a pittance and the Dhimms would get the Republicans to back off of any ObummerCare defunding effort and, in addition, increase the debt limit.

If so, it is probably best to punt the debt limit negotiation for 3 months, to keep the eye on the ObummerCare defunding effort, particulary in light of the continuing stories of the exchange website failures and premiums skyrocketing. I think the Dhimms would like to do anything to get ObummerCare off the radar, which means the Republicans should not let go of it.

If the debt limit increase is small enough to make the Anointed One come back begging for money again in 2 or 3 months, more pain can be applied to him at that point.

How about the Republicans fund everything but Obamacare and the EPA though separately?
