Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Wednesday said he would like to see a clean funding resolution pass the House to end the government shutdown.
McCain expressed hesitancy at criticizing Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) or Republicans in the House but said he is trying to convince them to sit down and negotiate.
I would like to see that myself, McCain said on CNN when asked if he would like to see the House take up the measure. But also again I really am hesitant to pile on members of the House of Representatives.
I try to keep in mind that many of them ran in 2010 promising their constituents that they would do everything in their power to repeal ObamaCare. I respect that.
McCain has long argued against the effort to tie ObamaCare to government funding. And about 20 House Republicans have also said they would pass a clean funding bill if it came to the floor.
The Arizona senator said it would be helpful if President Obama invited the entire Senate to the White House.
I do know if the president invited all of us together in the Senate, I think it might be helpful so we could have a healthy exchange, McCain said.
Obama is planning on bringing both Senate Democrats and Republicans to the White House in coming days.
Obama hosted the House Democratic Caucus in the White House on Wednesday.
The president also invited the entire House Republican Conference on Thursday. But Boehner announced only a number of GOP leaders and committee chairman would attend.
McCain declined to say whether he thought Boehners move to not allow the entire conference to attend was correct.
I dont know It is hard for me to critique what my friends in the House of Representatives do, McCain said. I know they resent it a lot if I do. I cant really respond to that.
White House press secretary Jay Carney on Wednesday expressed disappointment that Boehner declined to bring his entire conference.
McCain said he is optimistic about the level of talks among and between parties nine-days into a shutdown.
Rarely have I seen so many conversations going on at once, he said.
ok..................that worthless piece of crap is a worthless piece of crap..................crap !
They already passed a spending bill cleansed of obamacare!
You got it right the first time. :-)
Thank the Lord!
THAT is so unusual!!!...Just ask my BOYS!

ughhh...what a jackass.
We can’t blame McPain on this; he is just honoring the wishes of “pained” AZ voters, so uninformed that they keep him there in perpetuity.
If anything NJ voters are more lame than those in AZ and SC.
How do you negotiate with a man who says give me everything I want and then we will talk.
That is not negotiating, that is surrender. Something Juan seems good at.
Good God Arizona, next election elect a Democrat if you have to, you have one now anyway, but get rid of this dork.
We are starting to win in the court of public opinion. Look for all RINO’s to surface suggesting we should surrender.
He has been this way ever since his good friend Gen. Giap died.
FUJMc.

I have the feeling, like you, that we are starting to win in the court of public opinion. The sad thing is that it took this despot and five years of his Marxist bs to do it.
You’re right about the RINO’s but it’s an opportunity to purge them, may it happen!
McCain (D Ariz) wants Bonner to negotiate. What about THE FOREIGNER
“Who gives a damn what traitor john thinks...” only the MSM oops LSM!
well of course . there are more amish.
well of course . there are more amish.
but I doubt we are lamer than those of Mass.
and brown did win teds seat
Got a fund raising letter from the RNC yesterday. The letter was authored by John McCain. The letter talked all about fighting Obama’s radical left wing agenda. What a farce! Needless to say they’re not getting a dime from me.
People want John McCain to sit and spin.
