Meet Tom Waschura, Californian, father of two oh, and right: Obama supporter. Just got a letter from his healthcare provider telling him that his private health insurance just went up by ten grand a year:
I was laughing at Boehner until the mail came today, Waschura said, referring to House Speaker John Boehner, who is leading the Republican charge to defund Obamacare.
I really dont like the Republican tactics, but at least now I can understand why they are so pissed about this. When you take $10,000 out of my familys pocket each year, thats otherwise disposable income or retirement savings that will not be going into our local economy.
Let me tell you a secret: we dont need people like Mr. Waschura to love us. We just need people like him to vote their class interests, to quote the Marxists who unaccountably confidently expect this rotating disaster of a health care rationing system to fuel public outcry for socialized medicine. They dont have to vote Republican forever, you know. Well be happy if they vote Republican just enough to allow the party to kill this thing. With that in mind, let me just be the first to assure Mr. Waschura that his hope that the rates will be adjusted down in a few years is only half-justified: left unchecked, they will be adjusted. Only upwards. The Democrats always expected and planned that Obamacare would be funded by raiding the incomes of as many people as possible; making the insurance companies the mechanism for jacking up premiums was the only way to get the insurance companies on-board.

LIBs are insufferable asses. I really prefer not to communicate or socialize with them.
How true. It is useless talking to them, they will never see through the haze of their ideology. Even when their own ox is gored they rationalize it to be Conservatives fault.

“...left unchecked, they will be adjusted. Only upwards”
The author is not informed.
The rates are scheduled to go up dramatically in 2015.
Either Ted Cruz will be in a powerful position, or people will be begging him to be, along with anyone who supported his position last week.
Everyone else will be home, reducing the size of their holdings, and that includes McCain and all who sided with him.

Slicing from a steaming hot Schadenfreude pie!! Oh, Tom, does it hurt? Oh, please. Tell me again how it hurts.

The fantasy of “free or low cost medical insurance for everyone” hits another liberal idiot up side the head.
Instead of learning something from it, he’ll blame the Republicans and/or greedy insurance companies and scream for single-payer.

Amen, the most amazing thing about the unaffordable don’t give a damn act is that so many people, many of them totally opposed to it still actually thought that it was supposed to work. That was never the actual intent, it was designed to fail from the start if you can actually call such a mess “designed”.

We don’t really need the far left. We are winning over the Independents and the moderate Democrats. That’s how you win. The far left are too dimwitted to think for themselves.

There is a portion of the far left that will never come around. We will never convince them and really don’t need them to win the war.

Re “If a conservative is a guy who got mugged THIS DUDE GOT MUGGED”.
No, in the world of liberal Democrats and Englishmen, HE GOT BUGGERED BUTT GOOD.
Remember the old adage about Democrats, esp. under Clinton:
“If the Democrats are in town, your wallet is empty and your daughter is pregnant!”

“Coming soon: Left talking points blaming the greedy insurance companies...”
And then demonstrations for single payer.

Coming soon: Left talking points blaming the greedy insurance companies...
I already ran into a few of them bringing that up. I know some people will learn the truth but you'll always have those that will not. I'd rather deal with insurance companies, as a pain in the butt they are, than the government run system. My mother is fighting inflammatory breast cancer, Stage III. She had a left mastectomy ad chemo prior to that. The doctors tested the surrounding areas for cancer that they tested negative so she got it all from what we know. She will still need chemo once the wound heals as a precaution to make sure. Well, Mom needed some supplies and the insurance company said no. Well the doctor called them up and told them Mom needed them and they finally approved it. At least with the companies, you can work with them and get approval much easier than the government system. If The Man says no, you're screwed.
