The next time a liberal asks how we know that the federal government is too big, just explain that it is so big that shutting it down makes it impossible for people to view a sunken ship to memorialize those who died in service to their country.
To my way of thinking, that is too big. I would shrink the federal government without mercy until Congress votes unanimously and the President signs an act to restore full control of the Pearl Harbor Memorial to the state of Hawaii.

Let's not forget that Veteran's Day (Memorial Day) will be coming up soon!
Will Der Fuhrer Hussein have all the national war and veterans' monuments here and abroad still closed down if the shutdown is still going on?
I secretly hope the shutdown continues up-to-and-including that sacred day. I know, I'm baaaaad. But what a perfect day for a pushback of some kind all across the fruited plain!

It wwould be interesting to know precisely when the carefully printedd sign giving notification of the closure of the memorial was made?Probably right after the election in 2008. Socialists plan FAR in advance.
As for opening the Arizona, there are lot's of dems in Hawaii. Dem business people must be ticked that the tourists are cranky so they pressured obama.

Another front to battle on is the end of the pow to the proclamations of Executive Orders by the Office of the President in the manner we have been seeing during the past century versus the present Obama regime.

The shame of all this is that most of these memorials are for events that happened way before the liberals gained control of education...To those of us who served, Vietnam myself, WWII for my Dad, these places are hallowed...For kids today, a lot of them who could apply pressure to Obama, it would probably make them angrier if Obama shut down X-Box or video games and the internet....

it's all Obama spitting in everybody's face.I imagine he's still writing checks to our enemies. The only way to give the finger to the man on the streets is to shut down his streets. Shutting down the real government in DC and all those gov agencies wouldn't do much to bother the man on the street.

So it’s not safe for our Marines to walk the streets of D.C.? When I was a kid growing up there in the 50’s and early 60’s you could go anywhere in D.C. and be safe.

Well, we're working on it. The two recalls in Colorado are a good start. New Senators were sworn in yesterday.
I miss the Tyranny Response Team.
And unfortunately I have to agree with you. Most people won't DO anything.

Anything sounds good on a sax. I had to ask my wife what diminished arpeggios meant. LOL I think I have had that for awhile, but she assures me that I don’t and explained the music term. ;>)

That was hysterical! I loved the guy saying, “Ain’t gawn le’ you go!”
Much better than my son playing it on the ukulele, although that’s actually not bad, if he doesn’t flake out partway through. He doesn’t sing, though.

Tax-chick is good to go, we’re just kinda making fun of things here. Freddy was good, despite his proclivities. And Hayseed Dixie is good to go as well...

I agree, Queen did excellent performances. “Hayseed Dixie” is the bomb, though!
