There were plenty of computer glitches when millions of Americans went online to check out their options for affordable insurance policies. It was frustrating, but it was also an indication of overwhelming interest that exceeded all predictions.
Neither federal nor state officials were willing to say how many people actually enrolled in a health plan the first week, but the numbers are surely low. People need time to ponder their choices.
The administrations goal is to enroll some seven million uninsured Americans in health plans on the exchanges in 2014. They hope that 2.8 million will be young people between the ages of 18 and 34, whose participation is needed to help subsidize coverage for older and sicker people.

Most of the traffic on the exchange sites is curiosity rather than a desire to sign up. I would compare it to all the people who went on line to view the video of Miley Cyrus twerking. They went to see what all the buzz was about. After viewing the video, they vomited for an hour or so and never went back. People going to the exchanges did it for the same reason and had the same reaction. The only differences are that more people went to view Miley and they didn’t experience as much difficulty getting to the video. Maybe Obama and Reid should make a twerking video.
The dog ate my homework.
And the older people have to subsidize the younger by making me have maternity, pediatric eye and dental coverage. Not to mention birth control and abortion coverage. I am 62 and do not need this stuff.
The only way to judge is to investigate. To not do so would make one an idiot.
That is all part of the investigation. If there are real choices to be made that can benefit my family, I would be a failure to not explore those possibilities.
I trust no politician on either side. I act in this matter with no allegiance to anyone other than my family.
Oh, my God. They’ve overdosed on hopium.
Yup, and in the company where I (thankfully to God) work, the Official Warning went out. Tea Party, you are now making a lot more sense... God was not thwarted when Roberts threw in with the “this is a tax” crowd... God is organizing a revolt here, IMHO. Will we let ourselves be taxed by an ever more greedy Caesar or will we give ourselves to a gracious God again? It’s a no brainer, but our brains are stupified yet.
Well, this mess will not be able to “fool all the people all the time.” Even a totally self centered crowd is going to find itself with discontents, because evil cannot overcome the deficit of grace which fundamentally defines itself.
This is going to have to get uglier and uglier until a stupefied country comes to its senses. That’s how God works. We can try to help mitigate by evangelizing like there was no tomorrow to do it in.
99% of the hits on bamster’s website were the press playing with the system. No one wants it and those saying that they bought it are lying... at least some of them are.
It is enjoyable to watch them squirm i shock, but we are all still stuck with this monster.

One problem with opting for the good deal now is that down the road it may turn out to be not so good, and the result could be that by the time you (and others) find that out, healthcare as we once knew it could be greatly diminished in quality and affordability. For example, with Medicare the “good deal” included dental care if you could find somebody near you who was willing to be a provider— now it doesn’t. Either the system will fail because there’s not enough money to cover the costs, or it will begin to cut back on coverage and increase copays and deductibles. Either way, it won’t be the good deal you expect for very long. If you like what you’ve got now, stick with it. Because if it goes under because of lowered participation it won’t be there when you try to get it back.
Oh my, Obunger is getting brutalized on his Facebook ACA page, it is glorious.
Anyone else get the impression that the majority of the article’s user comments were made by one person (under different user names)?
For the past 2 weeks, the number on the MSM has been 48 million are uninsured.
I was wondering how that number went up 60%.
Then I remembered the illegals!!!!
There is 18 Million-—IF you believe the MSM & Obama about the correct number of illegals. I personally think the illegals they are trying to fold into the USA is much closer to 55 million persons.
Interest does not equal need
I, as I’m sure many others, went to the BOcare websites to see how bad our payments would be if we had to resort to BOcare for our health insurance.
That in no way means we NEED or WANT BOcare.
