I feel cheated - Castro it’s said could go on and talk for 3 hours or more entirely unscripted. I think if we’re going to have a tin horn dictator we should have at least got one that could speak extemporaneously.

That is true. I was stationed in Gitmo and actually saw him speak live on TV for hours on end. Other facts about Fidel you might find amusing:

“Castro’s holds the Guinness Book of Records title for the longest speech ever delivered at the United Nations: 4 hours and 29 minutes, on Sept. 29, 1960. His longest speech on record in Cuba was 7 hours and 10 minutes in 1986 at the III Communist Party Congress in Havana.”
