A new wave of veterans were forced to move barricades at the WWII Memorial in Washington Wednesday morning to gain access during the government slimdown, a spokeswoman from Sen. Jerry Moran, R-Kan., told FoxNews.com.

Hard for me not to love Drudge. Know what you mean, but I take him as he is, forgive his transgressions easily, and appreciate his talent.
More in #79. I posted before I saw your post.
Old Sarge: Thanks for ping. I'm sticking your ping/link here for posterity in this informative thread

I am an undocumented journalist, deemed undeserving of First Amendment rights by the Left.
I could just scream.
I saw your post #79, you posted it to me FRiend.
I’m like you, try to leave judgement to God. I don’t ‘hang’ with people who indulge in immoral practices but no one’s pure. I dislike people who immediately savage someone who does one thing they don’t approve of.
Id go. Never made it to Iraq, never saw combat, but I was still an active duty Marine from 88-94.
Good for you. You still served, and understand that aspect.
Many of these guys, like my recently departed Dad, where at Normandy as extremely young men, and will not be denied the opportunity to honor their departed brothers.
I know he’s up there cheering them on.
If any government employee is non-essential it is the Park Police and the National Park Service employees.
For them to “follow orders” like this proves they are selfish and incompetent rubes.
Fire them all. See how they like being treated like they treat others.
We need to take back TN first from RINO wimps like Gov. Haslam, Lamar and Porker.
Most ALL worthless pols do this crap regardless of party. It’s the establishment mentality of “we maybe elected, but we RULE YOU” BS.
When TN voted for Don “Tax Terrorist” Sundquist (RINO) to be governor he waited until his second term to try and shove an unconstitutional state income tax down our throats. We fought him and won.
One of his tactics was to say “without more revenue we will have an ‘Armageddon Budget’ and closed state parks and rest areas. But not his bloated staff.
Then during our marches on Legislative Plaza, as he was losing the fight, he sent out the State Troopers to surround us, face us, and hold shotguns. I’m not kidding.
Everyone of those officers should have been fired.
After Sunquissmyass stunk up the office of governor so bad a DEM was elected named Phil Bredesen. Believe it or not, his eight years were pretty good as he cut spending and even went to court to fight to get people off the TennCare rolls that shouldn’t have been there. The feds fought him (typical statist). TennCare was Hillarycare - TN the only state to implement it (Dem Gov Ned McWherter) and it’s now costing a fortune.
Even better, I can still pass a Marine Corps PFT. Maybe not with a 300 score, but I’m back to working on it.
Thanks to my continued gun-nuttery, I’m an even better shot than my previous high Expert scores would suggest.
I may not be gracefully moving into my late-middle years, but I’m done going quietly.

I’m glad you inserted ‘worthless’ because we’re living under the worst of the worthless now. Things are coming to a breaking point right now and it’s great to see the ‘oldest’ of our people fighting back and I’m hoping it inspires more people to fight back.
I’m lucky, as I live in a South Texas conservative city where things are still ‘nice’, and praying it stays that way.
Good that you mentioned Hillary Care as she was the first to strongly fight for it when Clinton was President. It needs to be remembered if she runs for office.

Good for you. A little more vintage than you, and a Nam Vet, who like yourself keeps himself “ at the ready” :) :) :)
Great Drudge headline and pic.
Great post, potlatch.
Harming our vets, particularly the WWII ones trying to visit their memorial, is an act of vengeance too far.
Today was a bad day for Obama, The WWII Vets were all the news and it upset the media so much that their comments were outrageous.
