An excellent statement posted in the comments in the article:

In Texas the voter photo ID law has been declared by Eric Holder to be discriminatory against minorities because of the burden of acquiring the ID. After reading about the process needed to sign up for insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act , one can only conclude that this Act is especially discriminatory against minorities. The information needed to qualify to vote is insignificant compared to enormous amount of information needed to buy insurance under the Affordable Care Act. Eric Holder needs to look into this.

Furthermore, signing up to vote is a voluntary right; signing up for the Affordable Care Act is mandatory with a penalty if you don't. Since only a small fraction of the information that is needed for the Affordable Care Act is needed for the photo ID, why not just grant the photo ID at the same time?

You’ve picked up on a good one here. Another, closely related point is that working through this almost impossible website is much like trying to pass the most adversely hostile literacy test ever conceived, IOW it antagonistivally discriminates against blacks and other minorities.
