An eastern Pennsylvania member of Congress is the only one from the states delegation to break party ranks in a dispute that's plunging the nation into a partial government shutdown.
U.S. Rep. Charles Dent voted late Monday night against Republican attempts to scale back President Barack Obamas signature health care law as the price to keep the federal government open and running.

Interesting.
I am from this bit of the world and liberal leaning members of my family are rallying to Cruz, because they see how bad Obiecare is.
Actually Western Pa.
Allentown may as well be Philadelphia.
One word: “primary”
Another piss poor piece of writing from AP.
Took 4 paragraphs to learn that Dent was a Republican.
Must be a Democrat working for AP who wrote the story.
EASTERN Pennsylvania, WAY Eastern, almost New Jersey. LOL.
Interesting how only information from or about Republicans who oppose the House majority is getting through the MSM.
i no longer have a good fax number for him. i’ll call tommorrow. it’s amazing how these reps continue to limit our means of contact.
You may well be able to fax him free from this site: http://faxzero.com/fax_congress.php
thanks that’s a good deal for some, but i can’t get numbers direct from that site.
i fax on my own dime. it’s more...personal that way.

Believe it or not, there’s another Allentown in Allegheny County, part of the city of Pittsburgh.
Yeah, but it’s not a city or town, just a neighborhood in Mt. Oliver. About 30 miles north of me.
yeah. that’s the one that is failing for me.
went to his page..tried to send him an email..but they would not accept as he ONLY accepts from the 15th District he represents...funny how he takes tax payers $$$..
they are all a bunch of a$$holes.
disgusting..
It isn’t my district but he should be primaried along with many other House and Senate RINO’s next year.
His district was drawn by the GOP dominated legislature to include both the liberal Lehigh Valley (Allentown, Bethlehem areas) and much more conservative territory to the west including northern Berks, much of Lebanon County and Dauphin County suburbs of Harrisburg).
Great territory for a conservative primary challenger.
Add GOPe congressman Jim Gerlach in the 6th and Pat Meehan in the 7th to those who now want a cave in along with Dent.
