He's not stupid. He's keeping the pressure on. The Dems just voted down three programs. Can you imagine those commercials?
Elsewhere in Washington, House Republicans were pressuring Democratic senators to meet them at the negotiating table to hash out a budget package.
The House appointed "conferees" overnight who would -- if the Senate agrees -- participate in a conference committee to craft a budget bill. Those GOP representatives held a press conference Tuesday to note that Democrats were nowhere to be found at that negotiating table.
"All of us here (are) sitting at a table waiting for the Senate Democrats to join us so we can begin to resolve our differences," House Republican Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., said.
"The way to resolve our differences is to sit down and talk. And as you can see, there's no one here on the other side of the table," he said.
From another article:
House Rules Chairman Pete Sessions, R-Texas, said his panel would bring the three bills up under a rule on Wednesday, so Republicans could pass the measures with a simple majority. Its an open question whether Sessions would allow Democrats to have a standard motion to recommit on the bills, for fear that Democrats would force Republicans to go on record opposing a clean CR through a procedural vote
This is brilliant strategy. They nail the Dems on the first vote, now they just need a simple majority to pass all three. Will he Dems vote for or against this time? We're winning. Learn to recognize it. These guys aren't stupid. Obama's poll numbers are crumbling. They're playing to win.
But, with the House in the pubs hands, doesn’t this mean a number of pubs voted against the bills?
Great analysis. Now the House Dems are the miniature “party of no”.
There’s no doubt now who is stopping the government from functioning. And you are right, for once Republicans appear to be playing country hardball. Name-calling and insults are all the Democrats have.
Unless they run those commercials now, they won't put pressure on the Democrats
“Its an open question whether Sessions would allow Democrats to have a standard motion to recommit on the bills...”
LOL! There are 4 dems and 9 Rs on the Rules Comm. IIRC.
Sessions can do whatever he likes. Why does the ‘reporter’ even bring this up (yeah I know)?
And I don’t think the RINOs would be in a hurry to revolt anyway. King and Dent got no RINO votes for their revolt yesterday.
Sure is good to see the Rs doing it right in the House, it’s been a long, long time coming.

What obamacare commercials? All I have heard are common core and amnesty commercials. Apparently for the GOP and their donors kenyancare is not worth putting their money where their mouths are.
I agree with your conclusion that the Pubbies are actually winning even though the MSM is cheerleading for the dems. Eventually the House GOP’s “one step at a time” and Fairness message and the screaming over-reaching dems is going to soak in.
Commercials we will never see. The media won’t allow it.
