Traffic in the DC area ought to be nice this morning. Maybe I’ll ride instead of drive in.
The VRE trains will be useless today in Virginia. We have to go in to work at the regular time in order to officially receive our furlough papers. Then we leave.
So if you regularly ride the VRE — there’s one train going back about 1300 and then the regular afternoon commute from 1600 on.
So if you regularly report to work at 0800 and will be furloughed by 0900 — the trains won’t be running. I’m assuming that I-95 is going to be gridlocked with all the train commuters.
Actually I meant ride my motorcycle in.
I avoid I-95 like the plague in the mornings.
