The statist (both parties are infected) reasoning on this issue would be like you or me demanding our credit card company increase our credit limit so we can make our payments and avoid bankruptcy.
How friggin stupid is that?
Just as an individual in that situation is de facto bankrupt without a drastic change in lifestyle and spending habits, so is our Federal Government!
Like the old oil change commercial when the mechanic says “You can pay me now or pay me later”, it already is “later”.
