This particular incident involved a Range Rover that didn't pull over fast enough and let them pass. So they surrounded him and forced him to stop a number of times. He had to run over a couple bikes to escape. They finally got him to stop in traffic, smashed his car window with a helmet, and slashed him with a knife in front of his wife and kid.
These bikers are savages and this is a planned yearly lawless event. Please keep that in mind if you're defending these bikers. If Obama had a son who was a biker, they'd look like this.
Is it likely that anyone will be arrested?
yeah I apologize for defending them, the first thing I think of when I think of bikers is the bikers against child abuse stuff
Americans are fast becoming totally lawless, it’s wierd
Didn’t think I was defending them, and I may have come across that event last year.
Was walking on 125th in Harlem and they were crossing from the north, completely disregarding traffic lights, pedestrians, etc., while they just poured down as a mob, light cycle after light cycle. A huge noise and, though really out of place anywhere, especially offensive in a crowded city.
“Let me tell you folks about this yearly biker event that takes place in NYC. Thousands upon thousands of bikers descend on the outskirts of NYC at certain meeting points. Then they all ride into Manhattan and cause absolute chaos. Traffic laws lose all meaning. And they do it on purpose. I read their social media posts as part of my job.”
My wife and I were driving North on the West Side Highway just about a year ago, returning from Brooklyn. It was about 3, or 4pm on a Sunday afternoon. All of a sudden hundreds, and I am not exaggerating, of bikers entered the roadway at 96th Street. A few of the bikers spread across the road to stop traffic and to let the others enter the roadway. We were one of the first cars in line that were stopped. We had no choice but to wait for about 10 minutes until all the bikes got on the highway. They were popping wheelies, and racing around like crazy people. I called 911 immediately to let them know what was happening. They told me that they were aware and were responding. The bikers eventually took off and we were able to proceed. I can see how a very bad situation could occur if a motorist intentionally, or not, tried to ignore them stopping the cars and messed up there parade, which I am guessing may have happened to this guy. I occasionally ride a bike and have many friends who are really into riding. Trust me these were not those guys. These are lawless assholes looking to cause major trouble.
Good to see at least some accountability on this travesty:
