(CNSNews.com) - Former President Bill Clintonwho was impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives for perjury and obstruction of justice and held in contempt of court by U.S. District Judge Susan Webber Wright for giving intentionally false testimonyclaimed to his former staffer George Stephanopoulos on ABC Newss This Week With George Stephanopoulos on Sunday that Sen. Ted Cruz made multiple false statements during his filibuster on the Senate floor last week.
I listened to some of Sen. Cruzs filibuster on the health-care bill and he just kept making all these claims that just arent so and everybody knows theyre not, Clinton told his former aide.
Clinton did not specifically cite any false claim that he claims Cruz made on the Senate floor, nor did Stephanopoulos ask Clinton to give any examples of false statements by Cruz or in any way justify his assertion that Cruz had made such statements.
Clinton made the accusation against Cruz while explaining to Stephanopoulos why he thinks President Barack Obama and Senate Democrats should not give in to congressional Republicans on the question of delaying Obamacare.
This is the House Republicans and the Tea Party people saying we dont want to negotiate with the Democrats, said Clinton. We want to dictate over the Senate, over the House Democrats, over the Speaker of the House of our own party and over the president. We insist on dictating the course of the country.
Stephanopoulos then asked: So youre saying you just have to stand up to that no matter what the consequences?
I do. I do, said Clinton. Its terrible because all over the world people see like, you know---I listened to some of Sen. Cruzs filibuster on the health-care bill and he just kept making all these claims that just arent so and everybody knows theyre not.
Starting on Sept. 24 and running through noon on Sept. 25, Sen. Cruz held the Senate floor for 21 hours and 19 minutes to make the case to his colleagues and the country that Congress ought to use the continuing resolution needed to fund the government after midnight this Monday to defund the implementation of Obamacare.
Stephanopoulos worked on Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign and then as a senior adviser to Clinton during his first presidential term.
Double fellatio.
How he can even show his face in public is beyond me.
