The gun didn’t just ‘discharge’. Some dumb ass fired it.

Some dumb ass fired it.”

Said ‘dumbass’ had its finger inside the trigger guard before target acquisition had been accomplished.

Revision of training protocols is needed, apparently.

Yep - at the range, the rule is to go hands-off when someone is down range - never saw a gun fire without someone handling it or dropping it (older weapons). Most modern weapons are really tough to drop and cause a discharge.
