The church, however, could do nothing except conduct religious rites in places of worship — no schools, religious publications, health care institutions, organized charity, ministry for justice and works of mercy that flow naturally from a living faith. We fought a long Cold War to defeat that vision of society."

Exactly right. This has been discussed since last year at our church. Liberals are fine with "religion" as long as it's constrained to an hour on Sundays. But don't dare try to live or share the gospel in an active way; then you're a criminal.

Anyone familiar with the Little Sisters knows that most of them are well into their later years. They care for some of the "throwaways" -- old people who literally have no one. Yet, our "benevolent" libs are only too anxious to see these poor souls forgotten, all because some entry-level secretary -- who in MOST cases probably doesn't care anyway -- wasn't allowed to get free pills.

Liberals are demonic.
