I might also point out to the people who think that iran and al qaeda are at odds with each other, that bin laden sent his family for asylum to iran and zawahiri travels between iran and pakistan at will and is even honored in iran.

He is deliberately perpetrating “the big lie” — nobody can believe that he is on the side of the enemy, so they don’t even consider that possibility, they listen to his words, instead of believing what they see with their own eyes, that every single one of his actions is done to our detriment.
