Either we take over the party now or we leave.

I believe we can take it over.

That ship has sailed. The GOP liberals have the positions of power and control and taking this rotting corpse over isn’t going to be allowed to happen anymore than a majority vote against cloture was going to be allowed to happen.

Senators Cruz, Lee, Paul, etc... the time is coming for choosing soon, do you want to go down with the RMS GOP or head for a new party, a new second party. The timing must be right and you must take a huge swath of your GOP conservatives with you to have an impact. As Reagan said this is a time for choosing.

“Either we take over the party now or we leave.
I believe we can take it over.”

I don’t believe it can be fixed or taken over. Therefore after 40 years I changed my registration from Republican to “unaffiliated.”

If 10 million conservatives would this week change their registration in mass from Republican to independent or Libertarian, the GOP establishment would have no choice but to pay attention. As it is the establishment is likely celebrating their victory over Cruz and the Tea Party. Boehner is almost certainly rounding up enough RINO House pubbies to combine with Democrat votes to pass a continuing resolution with Obamacare.

The corporate and Wall Street money behind the GOP establishment wants a single payer, government funded, healthcare system. I supports Obamacare as the bridge to single payer. Business wants to offload the cost of employee healthcare on the government to reduce operating costs. The GOP elites fear the money being cut off for campaigns more than they do the wrath of the constituents. They want to get Obamacare behind them in 2013 so it won’t be a campaign issue in 2014. History has shown that no matter how many times the GOP establishment slaps conservative voters in the face, on election day the base will once again come out and support the party just as abused wives return to the abuser.
