Sounds like he’s voting No?
I don’t know - I turned the channel because Thune had indicated he was voting yes on cloture, previously.
If he’s voting no, that would be a change.
You have to be certain he is voting no on cloture. If he votes yes on cloture but no on the bill, he’s a fraud.
Cloture allows Reid to pass the amended bill with only 51 votes, whereas if all Repubs voted no on cloture, debate would continue, and Reid would be on notice he needs 60 voted, not 51.
last I heard Thune was voting for cloture... but he is getting a lot of push back from his constituents in SD... including me
