Then the house should reject what the senate sends back to them and instead begin sending clean bills to fund each essential department one at a time, with none of them having funds for obamacare, and those departments charged with implementing obamacare funded last, ie, HHS, IRS, etc., and cut those by a sufficient amount that they cannot possibly implement it. If the House does not fund it, it cannot be funded and the senate can pound sand. If it takes all year, that’s fine. The people will elect a new Republican controlled senate in Nov 2014.
Jim how many besides me and you believe this? It pains me that not one talking head on FOX, Hannity being the exception that seem to understand this. I watched Runt Paul just a few minutes ago try to pressure Cruz into admitting that defunding is not going to happen, so would he be willing to accept some compromises. Ted pointed out to him that he would not but understood that some might think that they should. He also pointed out that once they give in to a vote there would be no compromise possible because they would have everything they wanted already.
Paul shrunk an awful lot in the last couple weeks, and has earned the new nickname "Runt."
