The key is to allow amendments.

If they vote for cloture there will be no amendments period. Paul has been saying for weeks that they can not defund ObamaCare, totally overlooking the fact that they can't fund it either if the house says no.

You really seem to have a problem with Paul. He could have been more forceful here. But I have some concerns about Cruz because I think his foreign policy is too neo-conish. I also want to hear his views on the fed.
That is the head of the progressive snake and it must be killed.
But it is good to have so many senators fighting for liberty. Next years elections will be so important.
