My first thought (as well as many FReepers) was that this indeed is a trial run for an attack in America. Bingo. But the NSA will let it happen so they can grow the DHS and forward gun confiscation.

The virtually unimpeded immigration of Muslims to America is a disaster in waiting. With some basic knowledge of structures, alarm systems and fire protection, and with ample time to conduct reconnaissance, shopping malls in America would be extremely easy targets of opportunity. With proper coordination in select high density areas, they could easily exhaust response unit resources. At peak Christmas shopping hours, they could inflict maximum casualties and claim a symbolic victory as well. The communication required to pull this off is extremely minimal and easily camouflaged. I don't shop at malls any more, especially in gun-free Illinois.
