Um... Usually if you have your period and blood is visible you change your clothes and feminine hygiene product.
But I guess in this family, your 10 year old’s room gets shot up, and you leave her their sleeping, thinking “Oh, she got her period!” As the mom of a 10 year old, you help them out even if it is just their period! And you get them out of a room being shot at!

I wouldn't wish that on some one I hated, much less a 10 year old child.

The way this reads, I thought the family shot her because she had started her period, and then decided to call the police after 5 hours. I was thinking immigrants from one of the "57 states".
