They were very good rifles. Well made. I am told the brass did not last that well because of the shape. Brass is scarce now.

A lot of hunters used them, but I have never owned one. Saw several.

My 94 year old FIL gave me his which had been given to him by his grandfather.

The bolt action is like butter. Ammo is usually only available (prior to the current madness) around deer season.

Even though it’s a mid 2K FPS muzzle velocity rifle from the 1890’s, it still fills the freezer.

Headspace issues are a common feature on rifles that headspace on the rim.

You can extend case life by adjusting the resizing dies to headspace on the shoulder. It has to be done for each individual rifle.
