I NEVER said we should go into syria, never said we should back the “rebels”! mRead my posts again...where did I ever say that?? right, nowhere. But some Freepers just make the illogical leap.
But I was responding to all the Kool-aid drinkers on Freep who said how ‘sincere, and reasoned” Assad sounded..Just because Assad is a demoagogic,Sociopathic monster does not then “equal” in logic that I want to back the “rebels” or go into syria.
Then by the same token, just because someone remarks how reasoned and sincere that Assad appeared, does not equal being a so called Koolaid drinker or approval of the man or that one thinks he is innocent of being a tyrant. My point remains the same. We have no business in Syria..not strategic or otherwise. I do not believe in humanitarian wars unless one of our allies is attacked or threatened. If folks want to take Iran out, then we should have that debate. We do not need to strategically throw Syria into Islamists rule in order to attack Iran’s nuclear assets.
Folks are sick to death of the whole Middle East! Screw em all! Drill here..drill now and let Allah sort it out over there.
