President Barack Obama on Monday wearily lamented yet another mass shooting, this time in the nations capital where the debate that raged earlier this year over tightening firearms laws has stalled amid opposition from gun-rights advocates.
The shooting at the Washington Navy Yard came a week after voters recalled two Colorado legislators who supported tougher gun measures, illustrating the strong political headwinds faced by lawmakers seeking to respond to the violence.

Is the Navy Yard shooter a black racist with a gun crime record? You betcha.
“What luck for the gun grabbers!”
It may be cynical, opportunistic and reprehensible thing for elected leaders, but you know what they say:
“You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”
Rahm Emanuel
And along with Barry, Emmanuel is one of the biggest turds in the bowl.
Notice how libs argue that the 2nd amendment applies only to the military, yet these shooting are happening because our military are disarmed on their bases.
I’m glad he got out there early and made a statement. Now he won’t have to let this spoil his evening at the “Latin Music” party at the White Hut tonight.
...or a Sheila Jackson Lee (sp?) constituent.
None of the Fort Hood victims were armed either... I'll bet the NRA NEVER has a killer walking their halls for even 15 minutes.
Chicago = high number of honest citizens unarmed because or childish laws
Chicago = high number of citizens shot because thugs know that the honest are unarmed
Odd that the gun controllers don’t care about how many people die due to their laws!

Why doesn’t nitwit Clown Prince President nobama by executive order allow the military to be armed at all times and everywhere?????? These commie clowns in this Clown Car administration need to have brain transplants from humans.
Gone cold?
Yes, two D senators recalled from two D+20 districts?
That’s not cold. That’s a damn ice age.
Next; dis-arming the faggots/dykes that are now the U.S. Military.
Why does the author think the shootings happened? Someone should tell him/her that it is because the gun debate has grown cold.
I noticed most of the “spokesmen” for the different law enforcement and military administration types were a bunch of dykes. I guess you can’t find “manly” men in the armed forces or law enforcement in D.C. anymore. WTF
Actually he killed a guard and that is where the AR15 came from. Federal guard... Federal firearm.
That is a great way to get a weapon in a secure environment. A skilled marshall arts guy disarms and armed guard. Kills another and he has two weapons.
Is that really true in this case?
That is what was reported in the big thread. I’ll see if I can find it.

The AR-15 was confirmed.
It was taken from one of the guards he shot.
The other guard got his pistol taken.

I heard one local DC reporter, on scene, say that he had heard that the shooter killed a gate guard with a shotgun. The guards 9mm pistol and AR-15 were both missing, as well as the magazines for each. There is also a report that he may have taken the AR-15 of the guard he shot at the entrance to the facility. The first reports I heard this morning on the local DC news was that someone was shooting people at the Navy Yard with a shotgun. Thus it may be that he began with a shotgun and then got the assault rifles from the guards he shot. thus the government, in a sense, provided the weapons Alexis used.

Although she emerged unscathed, Pat said she would have felt safer if she had been permitted to carry her own gun to work.
Im a gun owner, and so is my husband, Pat said, but I work in D.C. so I cant carry a weapon. Now I wish they would let us do it anyway. I felt like a fool walking around unarmed after shots were fired.

Does anyone else find it a bit spooky that Ohomo really needed another shooting to revive the gun debate?
