It does appear to be a Thai name. But having traveled in Thailand & Indonesia extensively, it may, may be Indonesian. But I’m betting Thai.
PS: “Jose-Maria Rodriguez” would not be British, of course. But that name could be Mexican, Puerto Rican, Colombian, or Venezuelan - and all of those regions are so different in culture from each other.
No, there’s no area or ethnicity in Indonesia that has that name. The contruction of that name is very typical Thai, although other countries in the area (Laos or Cambodia) may have similar sound.
