I left maryland (aka THE Freak state) last year after a 30 year stint of "living" there. The state is hopelessly LIB/DIM/RINO. Hopelessly. Leave...that is the only option. Let maryland fester in its LIB/DIM/RINO delusions. Once you have escaped, your life will improve dramatically.

And Charles County to the south is being invaded from the north. I used to live there 10 years ago and thought about returning there to live, but saw how bad things have gotten and decided to move to Virginia.
