Hannity was conducting a forum involving 10 to 20 people. If he permits himself to interrupt or talk over a participant, what is the moral constraints upon any participant to refrain from interrupting and talking over? He must set the example to maintain good order and civility but he set precisely the wrong example.

He did not interrupt to keep a speaker from wandering way off topic or to prevent filibuster, he interrupted with questions as a debating tactic and every respondent has a right in a give-and-take situation to reject the tactic. The respondent can ignore the question or the respondent can raise his voice to talk over an interruption under those circumstances, which is exactly what the liberal students did. We think they were obnoxious because we don't like what they were saying but procedurally they were perfectly within their rights.

We have to address the reality that their universities, obviously more than the universities turning out the conservative kids in that forum, have succeeded in creating articulate leftists who were not easily intimidated in a television environment by a professional who has the highest rating television show on cable in his timeslot. This is a daunting proposition for conservatives and most of us would rather blame the kids than deal with the reality.

We have much more important things to consider, like what the meaning of "is" is. Not my fight anymore Nate, I am long past my use by date.
