I know that, but I found it insulting. I shop everywhere without having to pay for a cart, or a basket. Now that I’ve had a knee replaced, I even use electric carts without any payment. Why does Aldi consider themselves so special?

For crying out loud!

THE 25CENTS IS JUST A TOKEN YOU GET BACK WHEN YOU RETURN THE CART TO THE RACK.

THIS MEANS THERE ARE NO LOOSE CARTS TO ROLL INTO YOUR CAR AND SCRATCH THE PAINT OR WORSE.

WHAT I HEAR IS YOU WERE TOO DARN LAZY TO PUSH THE CART BACK.

I suppose a parking lot cluttered with hastily abandoned carts is better???

NEEDING an electric cart for reason of disability is a different matter.

One day I pocketed a quick 75cents for no more than a couple minutes “work” of racking shopper-abandoned Aldi carts before going in to get my groceries.Of course I also pick up loose change from the sidewalk.

Sounds like you need to spend a little less time at the grocery store anyway, so I call it “win-win”.

Trundle your big behind around the block every now and then, and you’ll find that physical effort will be less associated with “insult” as you seem to find now.

You aren’t paying for it for heavens sake. My goodness. Having to have a quarter handy (I would just keep one in my car arm rest) is nothing if helps them pass on the savings to me in their prices.
