John McCain and John Kerry won medals too, I am not impressed.
No one alive matches the brilliance of the founders of this great nation in my opinion.
Neither McCain or Kerry won the Medal of Honor. I do not like McCains politic and despise Kerry. Kerry shamed an entire generation of vets.
I guess I am impressed with Medal of Honor winners because I have actually been in combat and know what they went through and the personal honor and courage they displayed in their accomplishments. In the citations I read about these brave souls each and everyone of them put their ass on the line to save fellow soldiers. I really have to questions a persons intelligence if they do not see honor and are not impressed by that.
It's one of those you know it when you see it but you got to be there to see it.

Shot down French, Nazis, and Eqyptians (and probably Russians).
* Technically a gunner for the Germans in WWI.
I’ve actually thought about writing the story.
He fought for one side and then for the USA in WW2, was your grandfather sent to fight in Europe or the Pacific theater?
