“The dems need to get to Assad’s Chemical Weapons before the world knows they were Saddam’s Chemical Weapons.”

And there it is. The Republican strategy for 2014 is tying Democrats and Obama to Iraqi WMD that has suddenly turned up in Syria. Obama wants to get rid of the evidence.

I have a strange feeling Benghazi, the MB and McCain and Graham had something to do with this.

They’re not using the slow 15 minute time limit we typically see in Senate committee hearings.

Seems like they are using an 8 minute time limit per Senator.

In all honesty, I oscillate between thinking Obama is an evil genius, but then I keep coming back to my heartfelt belief that he’s really just an idiot and really doesn’t have ANY gameplan at all, beyond say what sounds good at the moment.

So he gave his red line nonsense, cause that sounded Gangsta like his son Trayvon...and now he feels called on it, and he’s got to show he’s “down”.

Hasn’t been answered. Hasn’t really been asked. Not only are there no pics of older people but there are no pics of anyone who looks remotely like he might have been a combatant. This is true not only of US media but also the Chicoms, Euros, Deutsche Welle, Al Jazeera English, all of whom usually show a lot more pics than our own MSM.

BINGO...
Thismis about PROTECTING OBAMA, and the Dems reputations, and it very little to do with Chem Weapons.

Obama opened his mouth and laid down a “Red Line”, he got his bluff called, then, when he was blustering, Putin basicly b**chslapped him with his schlonmg, and double-dog-dared Obama to do something about it.

ok, I didn’t think I had seen anything. Perhaps the news agencies of the world just don’t want to show anything other than children suffering. Doesn’t make sense to me. Obama and Kerry keep saying they want to protect the children of Syria, I just can’t figure out why they also don’t want to protect the elders.

Dem Congresswoman: Only Reason I’d Vote for Syria Attack Is Loyalty to Obama
News Busters ^ | Swptember 3, 2013 | Noel Sheppard

Democratic Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton said Tuesday that at the current time, the only reason she would vote in favor of an attack on Syria was out of loyalty to Barack Obama.

Appearing on radio’s Bill Press Show, the non-voting delegate from the District of Columbia also said if the President actually gets the votes he needs, “it’ll be because of loyalty of Democrats. They just don’t want to see him shamed and humiliated on the national stage”

I can’t stomach this sh*t. If ever an oxymoron existed it is “liberal war-hawk.”

This POS testified against his Vietnam brethren and now he wants the children of his brethren to spill their blood.

No one is mentioning what the Iranian or Russian reaction could be.

Based on what happened last week, with Putin standing up to Obama, and Iran’s threats to honor the Treaty with Syria, and all of this “Limited Action!” talk being repeated over and over again, you just got to know that Putin and his advisors see this as a chance to stand up against the Weak US President Obama.

We are scared to death of a wider war, and the Russians know that. Kerry is repeatedly trying to play down the chance of a wider war.

If Putin orders his forces to defend Syria during a US attack, the political gain could far outweigh the risks, especially with China backing his position.

FINALLY, someone has the balls to ask the question! I’m surprised to see it’s Shaheen, though. I expected Rubio to address this.

arming the “vetted” opposition AND back to boots on the ground:

Hagel to Corker: “it was June of this year that the Pres made the decision to support lethal assistance to the opposition, as you all know. We have been very supportive with hundreds of millions of dollars with non-lethal assistance.

The vetting process, as Sec State Kerry has noted has been significant, but I’ll ask Dempsey if he wants to add anything. But we Dept of Def have not been directly involved in this. This is, as you know, covert action....

Dempsey to Corker: The path to the Syrian conflict is through a developed, capable moderate opposition, and we know how to do that....

We are very focused on the response to the chemical weapons. I think that subsequent to that we would probably RETURN to have a discussion about what we might do with the moderate opposition in a more overt way....

Kerry to Corker: As a said in my opening comments that the consequence of degrading his chemical capacity inevitably will also have a downstream impact on his military capacity....

Corker came back to Kerry’s “boots on the ground” response and said he did not find that response very satisfactory....We need to work through something that is much clearer than the answer you gave....

Kerry: Well, let me very clear now cause I don’t want anything coming out of this hearing that leaves any door open to any possibilities. So, let’s shut that door now as tight as we can.

All I did was raise a hypothetical question about some possibility and I’m thinking out loud about how to protect America’s interests. But, if you want to know whether there is any-—the answer is whatever prohibition clarifies it to Congress and the American people, there will not be American boots on the ground with respect to the civil war.

Apparently, per FoxNews, it wasn't much of a sales meeting, because it only lasted about 15 minutes.

All he had to do was remind them that he has dirt on all of them (the Republicans). So they will have to take the blame for this mistake too.
