Saudi Prince Bandar behind chemical attack in Syria: report

Syrians in the Damascus suburb of Ghouta say Saudi Arabia provided chemical weapons for an Al-Qaeda linked terrorist group which they blame for the August 21 chemical attack in the region, a Mint Press News report says.
The article co-authored by a veteran AP reporter, said interviews with doctors, residents, anti-government forces and their families in Ghouta suggest the terrorists in question received chemical weapons via Saudi spymaster Saudi Arabia's intelligence chief Prince Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud.
The report quoted the father of a militant as saying that his son and 12 others were killed inside a tunnel used to store weapons supplied by a Saudi militant leader, known as Abu Ayesha.
The man described the weapons as having a tube-like structure while others were like a huge gas bottle.
Anti-government forces, interviewed in the article, complained they were not informed of the nature of the weapons they had been given, nor did they receive instructions how to use them.
When Saudi Prince Bandar gives such weapons to people, he must give them to those who know how to handle and use them, said one militant.
Another militant accused the Takfiri militants of the Al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front of refusing to cooperate with other insurgents or sharing secret information. They merely used some ordinary rebels to carry and operate this material, he said.
We were very curious about these arms. And unfortunately, some of the fighters handled the weapons improperly and set off the explosions, he added.
The authors noted that the doctors who treated the chemical weapons attack victims cautioned interviewers against asking questions regarding who exactly was responsible for the deadly assault.
Also more than a dozen militants interviewed said their salaries came from the Saudi government. They reportedly said Prince Bandar is referred to as al-Habib (the lover) by al-Qaeda militants fighting in Syria.
According to Independent, it was Prince Bandars intelligence agency that first accused the Syrian government in February of using sarin gas in a bid to rally support for Riyadhs efforts to topple Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
And The Wall Street Journal has reported that the Saudi spy chief is considered by the CIA as a veteran of the diplomatic intrigues of Washington and the Arab world [who] could deliver what the CIA couldnt: planeloads of money and arms, and...wasta, Arabic for under-the-table clout.

So the whole thing was a "whoops" by the rebels themselves?
Sort of a "I wonder what this button does?", Or, "I wonder what's in that tank? Let's open the valve and sniff to find out".
In either event, it looks like the rebels were the ones planning to use the nerve gas and screwed up.
And Zero is ready to start a "wag the dog" war over a "whoops" to cover for his scandals?

Why are we sourcing from the Tehran Times? Iran has an extreme interest is protecting the Assad regime since he is their conduit to sending aid to the Hezbollah. Hardly an objective source.

They admit it to your face.
Yet you doubt what they say?
No wonder we're losing this battle.
We're not even fighting the correct enemies, the Saudis, and the Muslim Brotherhood.

I’m not sure you correctly grasp the situation in Syria. The Christians aren’t a player in this civil war. But yes... Both the Muslim government and the Muslim rebels are bad guys.
Why would Prince Bandar send chemical weapons to Syria when Syria has plenty of their own for decades? I’m thinkin’ the Iranians aren’t the ones to believe on -anything- about war making in the Mid East.

"The man described the weapons as having a tube-like structure while others were like a huge gas bottle."
Ohhh! A mysterious tube-like structure. Huge gas bottles. Coupled with the source, the story is simply not believable. Seems to be told by people who have no idea what chemical weapons even look like. I tend to think If insurgents were being supplied with this stuff, it would be in the form of artillery shells, mortar rounds, or perhaps rockets.

Yeah but see the problem is we have a President whose first order of business since day one has been to protect, defend and spread the cult of Islam.
Here’s some trivia for you:
Q. On Obamas very first day in office as POTUS on January 20th 2009, what was the very first thing he did?
A. Try to close down Guantanamo Bay detention camp that houses multiple Islamic terrorists.
OK? That was the very first thing he did above EVERYTHING ELSE. And guess what? That kind of fanatical dedication by him to our Islamic enemies has not changed one iota.
Here’s another question for you:
Q. On May 3rd 2011 Obama announced Osama Bin Laden was killed by United States special forces military unit. How much proof of Osama Bin Ladens death was presented to the general public much less the world?
A. Zero and two years later it’s still zero.
What was the comment made by members of Seal Team 6? “The body didn’t look like Osama Bin-Laden”
Exactly why it was immediately disposed of. And what is the result? No more hunt for Bin-Laden.

"IMO our intelligence forces are told to find out what Obama wants them to find out."
Well, considering that from the first day the ILLEGAL ALIEN IN CHIEF got into office, he and his FASCISTS minions have been filling the government agencies with Muslim Extremists,
so either way,
do you really trust Obama's sources?

Please read it again.
Claims Saudis sent chemical weapons to the rebels fighting the Syrian government, NOT to the Syrian government.

"The Christians arent a player in this civil war ..."
Really?
They're only the innocent victims that both side, and the ILLEGAL ALIEN IN CHIEF, either want out of there, or want dead.
Wake up!
This has always been about Muslims driving out the Christians!

I'm not questioning the concept that the Administration doesn't know WTF is going on in Syria and is siding with our enemy (AQ in Syria). I'm not questioning that the Administration is lying. What I am wondering is when we, here at FR, started using sources like the Tehran Times? Why not post an article from TASS or Pravda next?
Even this second post of yours quotes Syrian state TV as a source.
I guess this guy wasn't available for comment
