I respect his service, nevertheless. He was very badly injured when he crashed and didn’t receive proper care while a POW. I disagree with you on this issue. He was not treated well.
I can’t stand him politically, but let’s not denigrate the man’s service to his country, please.
Screw that pathetic piece of garbage.
We can all respect McCain’s military service, and perhaps even the man he once was.
But that card has been played far too many times.
His service doesn’t give him a lifetime pass to be an arrogant buffoon and he doesn’t deserve perpetual forgiveness for being a colossally bad Senator and terrible representative for the American people.

Judge for yourself.
I just googled and this came up, but I had heard much the same before..
I’ve heard stories that lead me to believe that the man was not liked, to put it mildly, by his fellow POWs. And that they had very good reasons for that dislike. But their code didn’t allow them to talk about it very much.
But even if you are correct, the fact remains that former heroes can turn into traitors.
To wit, Benedict Arnold, the hero of the Battle of Saratoga.
We all respect his service, but the time has come for McAmnesty needs to STFU.
I Won’t Give McCain a Pass or those that stick up for the POS!
Benedict Arnold was as war hero too ...
I cant stand him politically, but lets not denigrate the mans service to his country, please.

Sorry AB, but many of us no longer feel the obligation to preface every damn comment about this guy with the tired and worn out: “I respect his military service...blah...blah blah...”
F*ck McCain's military service! This A$$hole made law to take way other American’s rights to free speech! Remember McCain-Feingold? He's also helping to destroy this nation with his stand on amnesty!
This POS is helping to destroy our nation! You want to praise his service, you go right ahead. Many of us no longer feel the obligation.
