She was at least eight months pregnant, at a bar with three men. Chances are good the baby was going to have a tough life but this...
Maybe the Good Lord decided not to put the child through it.

Not all that surprising. After all, according to popular culture, just ten minutes earlier it was a simply a “clump of cells” or even a “parasite,” so how would a mere relocation to outside the woman’s body magically turn it into something worth caring about?

I thinking that homicide detectives are looking into the content of that latter.
