Basically, this will only work to keep old bolt-action and semi-auto rifles that were used in war from being re-imported, as there is already a restriction on full-auto or select-fire.

None of the rifles this would impact are any more dangerous/deadly/scary than what's currently available in your local sporting goods stores.
