Let's face it, this is a bad situation all around. One of the party members called 3 days in advance to make a reservation. When the manager advised him that WW doesn't do advance reservations, he also indicated that the group could be accommodated.
I'm only going on what I read in the article and the comments, so this version of the story may or may not be accurate.
A situation like this would provide good training for prospective managers and franchise owners.
