Powell calls Martin verdict 'questionable'

The Trayvon Martin verdict showed “questionable judgment” on the part of Florida’s judicial system, Colin Powell said in an interview airing Sunday.

The former secretary of state and chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said the acquittal of George Zimmerman, the white Florida man who shot and killed Martin, an unarmed black teenager, won’t be something with much lasting impact on the nation’s politics.

“I think that it will be seen as a questionable judgment on the part of the judicial system down there, but I don't know if it will have staying power,” Powell said on CBS's "Face the Nation." “These cases come along, and they blaze across the midnight sky and then after a period of time, they're forgotten.”

Powell said he would like to see President Barack Obama express more passion about race relations in America.

Goodbye Colon Powell. You sir, are an idiot! You had elevated yourself to prominence by your own good work.

You have decided to ride the Obama Express into oblivion.

Farewell

“These cases come along, and they blaze across the midnight sky and then after a period of time, they're forgotten.”

This describes Colin Powell.

"I am beginning to wonder if Powell has always been a fraud."

I believe Powell has more than adequately confirmed it, the moment he as a former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, endorsed a certain man for the office of President. A man with little more than 140 days OJT, highly questionable background, and whose ideals were openly inimical to America's best interests. Yes. He is a fraud.

I think it was questionable judgement on the part of George Bush to name this racist secretary of state.

There was no so-called "Trayvon Martin verdict." The kid was never charged with a crime, still less put on trial. It was the Zimmerman verdict.

Well General, just what part of justifiable self-defense do you not understand?

He was on the phone with 911.
He was attacked and getting his head beat in.

Unless you can disprove those two fact, you are simply pandering.

The "questionable judgment" on the part of the judicial system was to persecute Zimmerman for what was clearly a case of self defense.

If it wasn't, why were they afraid to present the case to a Grand Jury?

“I am beginning to wonder if Powell has always been a fraud.” If you had to choose a military leader to get you out of a life and death struggle who would you choose: Colon Powell or Norman Schwartzkopf? Now that we have the answer to that question, how do we account for Powell’s success within the establishment? I am sure he knows the answer to that question and it embarrasses him. Calling yourself a “Republican” is part of the charade. Powell doing photo ops while palling around with Louis Farrakhan reveals he is no Republican but a radical.

The ONLY subject I want to hear Colin Powell discuss is Scooter Libby. Until then he can just shut the hell up.

“Black on white crime is now getting the attention of white america..”

Sure is. Went to the public range here near Castro Valley, CA a few days ago to introduce my ten year old grandson to the .22 rifle that I was given by my father. 100 lanes available, all in use, by WHITE people! If this feral Black “crime wave” doesn’t stop soon, there will be intended consequences in my view. Decent people are not going to stand for a continuation of this lawless behavior especially when “law enforcement” doesn’t call it what it is, “race crime.”
