WWII veteran Delbert Belton survived being wounded in action during the Battle of Okinawa only to be beaten and left for dead by two teens at the Eagles Lodge in Spokane on Wednesday evening.
Belton, 89, died from the injuries he suffered in the beating Thursday morning at Sacred Heart Medical Center. . .
"Shorty," as he was known by his friends at the Eagles Lodge, served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific during WWII and was shot in the leg during the Battle of Okinawa. He went on to work at Kaiser Aluminum at the company's Trentwood plant for more than 30 years.
He loved playing pool, even though he claimed he was no good at it and had been a member of the Eagles Lodge for the last four months. In addition to playing pool he loved working on cars. . .
Spokane police are looking for two male suspects in the attack. They said the suspects are African Americans between 16 and 19 years old. . .

Nevertheless, this simply cannot be a racially motivated attack. Blacks are incapable of racist attitudes and of racially motivated violence, as Eric Holder would have us believe.
It’s already buried. Compare and contrast the outrage over hoodlum Trayvon’s death that we got to how muted and obscure this story is.
Black on white violent crime is so common that it rarely makes it beyond the local news. I can guarantee you that there were several incidents just like this one within a 24 hour period of the attack on Mr. Belton somewhere in the US. We rarely hear about them because a. it’s a daily occurrence, which means it’s not news, and b. because such stories don’t fit the Left’s narrative of blacks as innocent racial victims.
Teen Arrested In Beating Death.
No reason for this but sadism.
Right, and that’s usually the “natural selection” that weeds out the blacks that choose to leave the rotten culture. If they work hard and can afford to move into a more white neighborhood, then they usually have the characteristics to fit in there. The ones that wallow in that culture don’t leave the hood, unless of course HUD starts deciding to subsidizing them to do so, as they have talked about.
Since the authorities seem indisposed to preventing this behavior, it will in all likelihood be done by citizen action. Perhaps in the extreme, by armed citizens.
When (not If) that occurs, that will give the Government the excuse to crack down hard. IMNVHO, That is the reason behind the conversion of Homeland Security into an increasingly para-military force.
This wave of Black-on-white crime is unlikely to contuine unofficially unpunished. That will be a national tragedy.
Thanks for pinging me to that, wardaddy...an excellent post indeed.
Even conservatives have been conditioned to respond to charges of racism with, “I like Allen West/Herman Cain/etc.; am I still racist?” In other words, they allow themselves to be put on the defensive. I happen to be a big Allen West fan, but I refuse to use his name to prove I’m not a racist. Think what you want of me; I don’t care.
Interestingly, and as far as I know, Allen West has been the only person (black OR white) to come out and admit that the black culture is to blame for the beating death of the WWII vet, and the rest of the black-on-white crime.
The other day there was a FR thread linked to some liberal nut’s rantings about why whites don’t have more black friends. So many folks hastened to justify themselves by enumerating their black pals. I’m done playing that game.
Exactly.
And while we’re ranting on this subject, I’m sick of everyone feeling like they have to always be oh so cautious to express how they revere the beloved MLK, and how “he would have been a conservative had he been alive to day, and would be ashamed and shocked at the state of black culture and the likes of Sharpton or Jackson”. I like a lot of conservative talk radio types, but I’m sick of hearing them all have to tie ANY expectation of blacks acting civilly to what MLK would have thought or done. Glenn Beck, I’m looking at you specifically.
The truth is, if he were alive today he’d likely be the same variety of race pimp like his BFF Jackson. His whole family have gone into the victim-hood business. Birds of a feather tend to flock together. Its simply more likely that he would be still rambling about “the struggle continues” like his friends and family are doing, as opposed to being the one lone voice saying “no guys, we made it, its on us now”.
I can think of only one thing that I have to thank MLK for, and that is contributing to a method by which I can go into any new city and figure out where NOT to go....simply find the street that bears his name, and avoid it like the plague.
