Only seen the first Death Wish movie. And in it he wasn’t even a vigilante, one who tracks down those he thinks are guilty of crimes and punishes them. He merely put himself in dangerous situations and then defended himself when attacked.
I would have to watch the movie again, but I’m not sure he even broke the law, except of course for NYC gun laws. And leaving the scene of a shooting is probably illegal.
And what you are talking about isn’t vigilantism. It’s killing random members of group A because other members of group A have done bad things to you and your group, or you think they have. Which is pretty much exactly what these black thugs attacking white people because of their race are doing. And the evil of such actions doesn’t vary with the color of the perps and victims.
This isn’t ethnic, it’s cultural.
