The image of Denver Boone was originally designed by a Walt Disney artist and named by a UD student back in 1968 .
The cartoony figure, which sports a scruffy beard and a raccoon skin cap, is reminiscent of the Daniel Boone character from the 1950s TV show based on the real-life pioneer.
. . .
Mythology and Fess Parker aside, it is well documented that Daniel Boone never wore a coonskin cap.
This author needs an editor who knows a little popular history. Fess Parker did not play Daniel Boone and the Disney series was not about Daniel Boone; it was about Davy Crockett, who was from TN.
Actually he played both Davey Crockett and Daniel Boone.
"American Journalists" have no clue nor interest when it comes to what makes America great, nor the people who made it so. History is just about a bunch of dead white guys, so who cares. They were nothing but oppressors anyway. And they seem to believe that history began at their birth.
