I use this in the Humpty Dumpty fashion - 'it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less'.
Then I might call you an idiot... don't worry, though. It only means what I choose it to mean. That doesn't work, does it? Words have meanings. Your quip above is more of a liberal approach that seeks to control the debate through controlling the terms. I don't appreciate the approach from either source.
