That assumes wages have kept up with inflation. They haven't.

So say it, I was making way too much at 2.00/hr in 1974 compared to today. Say it to my face.

I don't think you were making too much in the seventies. But no one is doing as well as we were doing in the seventies. Including the franchise and pizza shop owner.

Also, adjust the taxes and the entitlements as compared to the seventies. I think you'll find minimum wage workers doing even better than they were back then. Today's minimum wage workers pay virtually no taxes, including social security.

It’s not that you were making too much in 1974, it’s that employers made more profit back then, and could pay you $2.00/hr.
Taxes and regulations make that (inflation adjusted) wage impossible today.

BTW, why are you a FReeper? You sure don’t sound like one.
