I do remember the daughter mentioning that the mother talked about some insurance policy and wondered how much she could get.

Isn’t it Gerber that sends out those insurance pamphlets? So what if the mother took out a policy. I bet a lot of people do or Gerber wouldn’t keep soliciting. That hardly makes the parents complicit in their baby’s murder.
I think it's very possible that someone took the daughter's comment out of context. Don't think a reporter would do that? Or a lawyer?

They don’t appear we’ll off. Could have needed the money for the funeral.

Just maybe the mother needed the insurance money to pay for his funeral~

The parents in this situation seem extremely peculiar and shady to me. But even if they did contract a hit on their child, the accused is the one who did it. Which makes it premeditated. Which means that he should never get out of jail.

I do remember the daughter mentioning that the mother talked about some insurance policy and wondered how much she could get.The article said she was concerned about how "soon", not how "much", since the policy would already have been written for a given amount. Isn't it remotely possible that she was concerned about hospital bills for her own shot leg and funeral expenses for the baby? Many people are living at the edge of financial ruin in this economy.
