Denmark Bans Meatballs to Accommodate Muslims

One of the largest hospitals in Denmark has admitted to serving only halal beef -- meat that is slaughtered in accordance with strict Islamic guidelines -- to all of its patients regardless of whether or not they are Muslim.

The revelation that Danes are being forced to eat Islamically slaughtered meat at public institutions has triggered a spirited nationwide debate about how far Denmark should go to accommodate the estimated 250,000 Muslim immigrants now living in the country.

The halal food row erupted in July when the Danish tabloid Ekstra Bladet reported that Hvidovre Hospital near Copenhagen has been secretly serving only halal-slaughtered meat for the sake of its Muslim patients, for the past ten years. The hospital serves more than 40,000 patients annually, many (if not most) of whom presumably are non-Muslim.

Halal -- which in Arabic means lawful or legal -- is a term designating any object or action that is permissible according to Islamic Sharia law. In the context of food, halal meat is derived from animals slaughtered by hand according to methods stipulated in Islamic religious texts.

One such halal method, called dhabihah, consists of making a swift, deep incision with a sharp knife on the neck that cuts the jugular vein, leaving the animal to bleed to death. Much of the controversy involving halal stems from the fact that Sharia law bans the practice of stunning the animals before they are slaughtered. Pre-slaughter stunning renders the animals unconscious and is said to lessen their pain.

Maybe not so much "ethnic" cleansing, but Islamofacist cult cleansing. Seems France is at the forefront with them outlawing burques. As often as we badmouth France, the French are extremely proud of their culture/history - to a fault sometimes. However, they are learning about PC, diversity, multi-culturalism and finding it just doesn't work with the cult of Islam.

Now, other European nations/cultures are waking up. I say good. Unfortunately, the USA being one of the most tolerant, PC, diversity driven nations will take longer. All it will take is one massive terrorist attack and I believe many will wake up to the 6th Century barbarians.

Here is an example of foods that we pay to label Kosher, it is probably Halal as well, see the 'K' to the right, just above "net wt."? Sometimes a 'U' is used, check your groceries and you will be amazed to see how many products are Halal and/or Kosher.

Kosher and Halal are not the same thing. Halal is sacrificed in the name of allah and profits go to support jihad.

Kosher labeling helps a lot of people who have dietary problems with dairy products since they don't mix meat and milk . Kosher does not support jihad .

You would be surprised at how many meat and fish products contain dairy based products such as casein . Manufactures use it to boost the protein in their products for labeling. Some people are seriously allergic to this dairy based protein and that Kosher certification really helps them avoid it .

No you don't get it Halal and Kosher are NOT the same thing. To get Halal certification on a product YOU HAVE to the MOSQUE to come out and certify it and YOU ARE HELPING their jihad every time you purchase something with that certification.

The K inside a circle indicates that the food has the “OK” Kosher Certification (the OK), which was founded in 1935 under the leadership of kosher food pioneer Rabbi Berel Levy, has become one of the world’s most respected symbols of kosher approval. Foods labeled with the OU symbol or U within a circle means it has been certified by the Orthodox Union and it is one of the strictest kosher standards. There are also other kosher labels.

There are reasons to certify foods beyond meats as being kosher such as a food coloring derived from shellfish or insects, certain foods that contain tallow, gelatins or casein, dairy products such as cheese that contain animal fats.

Many Muslims FWIW will look for the kosher certification label on foods because Halah dietary laws are very similar.
