Bill Clinton offered a strong defense of his family foundation and insisted reports of mismanagement and deficits were taken out of context, in an unusual letter posted on the group’s website.
The Friday post also addressed, for the first time, the audit that the foundation conducted in 2011, which led to a series of recommendations to bring change to a loosely-run, personality-driven organization after its first decade into a more sustainable structure. And the foundation released the summary of that audit.
POLITICO reported earlier this week on the audit, which was driven in large part by Chelsea Clinton in order to bring the foundation into a new era.
The letter, lengthy and posted with little fanfare, goes on for several paragraphs about the Clinton Foundation’s goals and work.
But it also offered a rebuttal to the New York Times’ sprawling look at the internal dysfunction and intra-staff fighting that was taking place up until 2011.
“The New York Times recently reported that the Foundation ran a deficit of $40 million in 2007 and 2008 and $8 million in 2012,” he wrote, saying that it is not an accurate look because it reflected a donation made in increments over several years.
Reports of deficits at non-profits are always alarming to donors, and come as the Clintons are trying to raise an endowment totaling hundreds of millions of dollars - and, potentially, launch another presidential campaign.
“The reporting requirements on our tax forms, called 990s, can be misleading as to what is actually going on. Here’s why. When someone makes a multi-year commitment to the Foundation, we have to report it all in the year it was made. In 2005 and 2006 as a result of multi-year commitments, the Foundation reported a surplus of $102,800,000 though we collected nowhere near that.”

It is not a “family foundation”!!!! I can’t find anything in the IRS 990’s that indicate that Bill, Hillary or Overbite ever put a penny of money they made on their own in to the thing. Same goes for the Carter Foundation.
These are so-called “nonprofits” that are 100% infused by other peoples money in return for admission to the connections these parasites have which includes a pipeline in to the United States Treasury.

There needs to be a thorough going-over of the Clinton Foundation funding. We need to know who pays/funds the Clinton's real lifestyle especially now that there is talk of Hillary running for prez. It is important to know to whom the Clinton's are truly indebted.

As President, Bill Clinton made policies that raised hundreds of billions (if not trillions) of dollars for his obscenely-rich donor/pals.
His North American Free Trade initiative made it easy for, and even encouraged, corporations to outsource jobs and then import their products back into the U.S...... The repeal of Glass-Steagall on his watch sent Wall Street into the money-making frenzy that led to the Great Recession/Depression of 2008......and subsequent taxpayer bailouts.
In exchange for these obscene gifts of corporate welfare, at the expense of America's middle and working classes, you'd think the Clintons' rich friends would have no trouble coughing up a mere $250 million endowment for the foundation.

Abedin was assigned “special government employee” status, and was able to haul in cash as a private contractor. One of her clients was Teneo Holdings, a consulting firm founded by Bill Clinton aide Doug Band.
Teneo’s Web site calls itself the “next chapter in strategic advisory,”
NOTE: Last Dec, a former MF Global employee accused former president Clinton----chairman of Teneo's advisory board----of collecting $50,000 per month through his Teneo advisory firm in the months before MFG careened towards its Halloween filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, as hundreds of millions of investor funds disappeared, reports Human Events.
Teneo was hired by MF Global’s former CEO Jon S. Corzine to improve his image and to enhance his connections with Clinton’s political family, said the employee, who asked that his name be withheld because he feared retribution, according to HE. The Teneo contract with MF Global lasted at least five months, the souce said. “The board cancelled it after Corzine resigned.”
The source, who is no longer associated with MF Global, said Teneo is a dual-track company with one side devoted to merchant and investment banking and the other side set up to provide image and strategy consulting services.
The trustee for investors later sued JPMorgan bank for return of about $450M that MFG had transferred to the bank.

It’s nice to see the Clintons attacking the New York Times for a change instead of the Vast Right-wing Conspiracy.
But the NYT’s article exposing corruption at the Clinton Foundation is solidly in print, with the most damaging paragraphs quotable for use in ads by Hillary’s political opponents.
Hillary’s followers can protest future ads showing existing videos of her drunk in various bars or railing like a banshee at Congressional hearings as sexist, mean, or ‘’inappropriate.’’ But they can’t protest actual words from the New York Times.
We do remember this man is a convicted liar.
