Then he and others should go write a new law more suitable to our national interests IMHO. We should actually have the moral courage,to not just stand by some law for the law’s sake...but to write foreign policy laws for our national security’s sake. Our national security interests are in keeping the Suez Canal open, Egyptian peace with Israel and a stable regime. Morsi and the MB were doing none of those things....And in fact had threatened all of the above.

We should be coming out full throttle in support of the Egyptian military to restore order and crush the MB. What is wrong with just coming out in support of crushing a murderous, fascist ideology like the MB?

I love Cruz and Rand Paul, but this kind of rhetoric will only serve to give Obama cover in his feckless and dangerous foreign policy IMHO.

Karma is a real bitch and I'm not real confortable supporting something that both parties would happily use here against a specific group of "extremists"

You people can justify your outrage any way you want but the simple fact is that you're hypocrites who have chosen to continue the behavior of the left.

BTW am I the only one to notice that the Egyptian military has suddenly lost the ability to protect the Christians they've protected for decades.
