It was not a military coup. The people demanded that the military step in.

A military coup means the military runs the government. They didn’t and aren’t.

Overwhelmingly.

A short overview what has happened in Egypt.

- Obama, took advantage of Egypt instability by helping push Mabarak out power.

- Egypt had a power vacuum that would be filled by the most organized group.

- Obama understood that the Muslim brotherhood would be that organization that would take power. Obama wanted them in power. Muslim Brotherhood goals are the destruction of Israel and to export International terrorism under the guise of Islam.

- The overwhelming Egyptian majority found that the Muslim Brotherhood were pushing them toward the hard ideology of Sharia law.

- The people revolted against the corrupt, Muslim Brotherhood government.

A short conclusion: the Muslim Brotherhood who were thrown out of power are a threat to Western Nations and Israel.

The Egyptian military stepped in and ousted the Muslim Brotherhood because the Brotherhood focused solely on establishing an Islamic Fundamentalist dictatorship, consolidating their power and destroying their enemies.

Morsi totally ignored anything that had to do with actually running the country and rapidly ran Egypt, a poor country with little margin for mismanagement, into the ground.

By the time the Military took over, Egypt was broke and had their food reserves run down to less than two months before they were gone, at which time Egypt would have been at major risk for mass starvation.

The military took over and secured about 10 billion in funding from the Oil States to buy food and float the country to prevent the looming catastrophe of mass starvation.
