If you have never had a Hanover (VA) tomato, you have not lived.

Not only have I never had one, I've never even heard of them. I'm kinda partial to the ones we grow here on the Eastern Shore :-)

My husband (not from Hanover or Virginia for that matter, poor thing) thought we were all crazy hearing us talk about the tomatoes. When he had his first one, he was hooked.

I would never turn down a good tomato sandwich from the Eastern Shore. I am sure they are most excellent, but the ones grown in & around Hanover are to die for when they are in season.

I'm with PTC on this one. I'm not a big tomato fan, but Hanover does grow some mighty fine tasting fruit. It may not be better than the Eastern Shore variety, but it will most certainly not be worse.
